Tips For Making a Good Home Based Business Blog

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

Every home based business owner today should have a blog. However, many people think that they’re too difficult or that they’re not worth creating. When the truth is that done correctly a successful highly trafficked blog can make you a lot of money and help you generate a lot of prospects. So if you’ve been thinking about creating a blog for a while now but you’ve never done one or if you have a blog that you think needs to be reworked here are a few tips that should help you created a better home business blog

First of all you always want to start out by hosting your own blog. Lots of people use sub-domains but those don’t really come off as very professional. Also if WordPress or Blogger doesn’t like your blog they can rip it down for no reason at all. That’s not a position you want to find yourself in. So make sure you have hosting and that you can host your blog yourself.

Also, you want to have a good domain name for your blog. Keywords are always a good thing to think about and you want to end with .com whenever possible. .Org or .Net is OK if you can find a really good one but only if it’s really good otherwise use .Com.

You should also be updating your blog fairly often. About 3 – 5 times a week is best. Update it too often and it’s a waste. Don’t update it enough and people will stop visiting it Try to keep your posts interesting and try to give the people reading your posts some valuable information. That is what will keep them coming back.

Also, you should think a lot about keywords when writing in your blog. Keywords are a big part of what will bring new viewers into your blog. So try to find some really good keywords and use them as much as you possibly can without it being annoying or obvious what you’re doing.

Make the design of your blog stand out and look interesting. This will help people remember you. Some people look at tons of home based business blogs. And they will remember the ones that are the most unique. If you’re not good at creating stuff like that you can hire a blog designer for a very reasonable price online.

Home Based Medical Transcription Jobs

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

If you are looking for a change in your current career path, one of the first important decisions to make is whether or not you want to work in an office or work from home. There are many jobs available now that are home based and they are becoming very popular with people who want to be free of the structure of office jobs. One of these options to consider if you are in this category is home based medical transcription jobs. Medical transcription jobs from home can be quite rewarding and allow you many of the freedoms you have been wanting in a career. Medical transcription involves typing up recorded dictation from medical professionals so that their notes are recorded in a hardcopy file. As a medical transcriptionist, you can find work through local hospitals and doctor’s offices or through larger medical transcription companies. Since you are able to work remotely, you can even find work through MT companies that are not in your general area. This fact also helps in the increase of available jobs to those who are seeking employment as a transcriptionist and gives you a better chance at getting hired. When you are getting started, you will want to first find a good, reputable certification course to take. It is not necessary to take a certification course to start your career as an MT, but you will greatly increase your chances as finding an employer who is willing to hire you if they don’t have to train you first. You will also start your salary in a higher pay bracket if you have already received your certification and have some experience in the field. There are many options for certification as well and they don’t have to break the bank. You can find courses through your local college or you can even complete an online course. The courses through local institutions tend to cost more and take more time, but they are more structured if that is something that appeals to you. If you would like to pay less money and take less time to get certified, an online course is probably your best option.
